54. . . . Week 13, 2014: Eagles 33, Cowboys 10. 12. player

As mentioned earlier, it’s always great to beat Dallas, but how can anyone argue about beating the Cowboys on national television, on their stage, on their field, and on a holiday no less?

The schedule makers gave Philadelphia Eagles fans a gift with this one as the ‘Birds’ were slated to renew acquaintances with their old foes on Thanksgiving Day. It was a bad day for Dallas, which means Eagles fans had a ball.

Mark Sanchez (no, that’s not a typo) led Philly and lit up the Cowboys, going 20 for 29, racking up 217 yards passing, and tossing a touchdown to Jordan Matthews. LeSean McCoy toted the rock 25 times for 159 yards and another score.

Philly’s defense showed up as well, sacking Tony Romo four times and picking him off twice in this one.

Philly’s had their share of blowout wins over Dallas. This one was doubly special. With a 33-10 win, the Eagles took sole ownership of the NFC East’s lead with a 9-3 mark, and they also tied the Green Bay Packers for the best record in the NFC at the time.
