Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Safety/Linebacker. Clemson. Isaiah Simmons. 10. player. 53

Disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe how this past season was for the Cleveland Browns since the team went from Super Bowl expectations to winning just six games all year.

Numerous factors came into play behind the Browns coming up short, but since looking back wondering what could have been won’t change anything, the best thing to do is focus on the future.

The good news for Cleveland is with all of the talent on both sides of the football along with an exciting new head coach in Kevin Stefanski, there’s plenty of reasons to believe the team will bounce back strong in 2020 as a contender in the AFC.

But just like every other team, the Browns have a few areas in need of improvement to put the team in the best position possible for it to happen, especially at safety.

When it comes to the best players at the position entering the draft, Isaiah Simmons from Clemson has made a strong case for being considered a top defender from this year’s draft class, and seems like a lock to fall somewhere in the top 15.

What makes Simmons an even more intriguing selection for a team like the Browns is his previous experience at linebacker before making the switch to safety, meaning Cleveland could find a way to use him in multiple ways on defense if needed.
