2020 NFL Mock Draft 1.0: Eagles focus on safety with Grant Delpit
By Dan Parzych
Could 2020 end up being Derek Carr’s final year to prove himself worth of being the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback of the future?
Two years ago, the Raiders made the decision to hire Jon Gruden as their new head coach with the intention of his previous experience in quarterback development helping bring out the best in Carr.
The verdict is still out there over whether this will be the case since Carr obviously felt some frustration over the team previously trading Amari Cooper in 2018 to the Dallas Cowboys.
But if the Raiders really want the necessary results, they need to build a better offense around their beloved quarterback.
With that being said, Las Vegas deserves some credit for using one of their first-round picks on Josh Jacobs last spring since the running back turned out to be one of the top rookies on offense this past season.
If the Raiders want to keep the trend going in continuing to build a better offense around Carr, Jerry Jeudy could be the perfect addition at wide receiver to help this offense reach new levels next season.
Between the 26 touchdown catches from the last two seasons on top of his ability as a route runner, Jeudy seems like another one of those rookies that would find a way to make an immediate impact right away on a team like the Raiders.
Most importantly, a pick like Jeudy with his skill set would make Carr pretty excited.
