28. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. Florida. C.J. Henderson. player. Scouting Report. 19

Similar to the Miami Dolphins, the Las Vegas Raiders are fortunate enough to have multiple picks in the first round of this year’s draft thanks to some previous wheeling and dealing, which means they can take advantage of addressing multiple areas right away.

While the Raiders can certainly do whatever they want, it seems wise to use each of their first-round picks on both sides of the football.

And if offense decides to be their main focus at No. 12 with another weapon for Derek Carr to work with at wide receiver, it only seems fitting to go with defense at No. 19.

Once again, Las Vegas has another similarity to Miami in which they could use some extra help at the cornerback position this offseason, which is where Florida’s C.J. Henderson comes into play.

Henderson has the kind of quickness, and field vision that makes it seem like he’s going to one day develop into a consistent cornerback in the NFL.

With the way things have turned out over the last two seasons, no one needs to explain the kind of pressure the Raiders are facing heading into 2020, and while Carr receives most of the attention on offense, Las Vegas’ defense needs to step up as well.
