2020 NFL Mock Draft 1.0: Eagles focus on safety with Grant Delpit
By Dan Parzych
Knowing Drew Brees, the future Hall of Famer will want to return for at least one more season with the New Orleans Saints after seeing how things played out in January when the team lost in the playoffs at home to the Minnesota Vikings.
When taking into consideration the Saints were considered strong Super Bowl contenders all season, it was beyond frustrating to watch New Orleans lose to Minnesota right away, and it’s tough to imagine Brees would want to see his career end this way.
With that being said, if Brees were to return for another season with the Saints, the good news is the team would be expected to be a top contender once again in 2020 with the kind of talent New Orleans has to work with.
Having Michael Thomas as a top target to work with has made life easy for Brees at time over the years since the Ohio State product has earned the rights to be considered a top wideout in the league.
But unfortunately, the inconsistency beyond Thomas is part of the issue for the Saints, and no one would be surprised if the team looked to the draft to add talent at the position.
Jalen Reagor may not have the most impressive numbers from his time at TCU compared to other receivers in the draft, but his ability as a playmaker along with the chance to benefit from teaming up with Thomas could make this a great selection for New Orleans.
