2020 NFL Mock Draft 1.0: Eagles focus on safety with Grant Delpit
By Dan Parzych
Remember a few years back when the Seattle Seahawks earned a reputation for having one of the top defenses in the league, and always appeared to be a lock for the playoffs?
The defense may not be as dominant as they used to be during the glory days, but the Seahawks earning another trip to the playoffs this past season shows they can still play on a high level.
In fact, Seattle has only missed the playoffs once since Russell Wilson came on board during the 2012 season, showing just how consistent this team has been for the most part over the years.
But when looking at how the rest of the NFC shaped out in 2019, it’s clear the best chance the Seahawks are going to have at continuing to be a top contender is to make sure their defense finds a way to improve this offseason.
Depending on whether Jeff Gladney ends up being available this late in the first round, Seattle could benefit in a big way from adding the TCU star on defense to help fill their need at cornerback.
From his impressive footwork to athletic ability, Gladney could bring a lot to the table for the Seahawks to make sure the team remains a top contender for years to come.
