Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Quarterback. 7. 87. Utah State. Jordan Love. player

While it may sound ridiculous to consider the idea of four quarterbacks going in the first seven picks, keep in mind this makes sense when looking at all of the team with questions at quarterback.

Take a look at the Carolina Panthers for example, who appeared to feel confident in Kyle Allen being their new quarterback of the future over Cam Newton before learning later on in 2019 that he was still a work in progress.

Even if the Panthers decide to give it another go with Newton or Allen, when looking at some of the potential options in this year’s draft, Carolina would be foolish not to consider all options come April.

All things considered, Utah State’s Jordan Love will most likely be available in the second round due to some of the other quarterbacks expected to go in the first round on top of certain team needs.

But also, if the Panthers express any sort of concern over missing out on Love, they may not want to miss out on an opportunity like this one.

In January, Carolina made it clear just how badly they wanted Matt Rhule to become the team’s new head coach, and starting fresh with someone new like Love could be in the head coach’s plans as well.

Like most rookie quarterbacks, Love has a few areas in need of improvement such as field vision before he’s ready to make a serious impact at the NFL level, but with Rhule’s coaching experience, this could work out perfect for both parties.
