2. He’s consistent. Don’t mistake him for being a guy with a few nice highlights.

If you’re a Las Vegas Raiders fan (it’s going to take some time to get used to saying that), you know this all too well. Al Davis did a ton of things right, but there were a few things that make you scratch your head too.

Here’s one. For some reason, he decided to shut down Marcus Allen in the prime of his career. Can you imagine what having a serious one-two punch with him and Bo Jackson would have looked like?

Then, there’s this. Davis had this thing where he just liked to draft guys who were fast. Forget the fact that they weren’t good at much else. If you were fast, you had a chance at being a Raider.

Third, he watched the Super Bowl and signed the MVP if they were going to be available in free agency. Often, that didn’t work out.

One game or one great moment in a game doesn’t make for a great prospect, but that isn’t something that Birds fans are going to have to worry about with Ryan. For many, their first introduction to him may have come with his late-game pick-six that sealed a trip to the divisional round of the AFC Playoffs, but he’s so much more than that.

He’s a consistent player who plays hard on every down, and he solidifies one of the starting cornerback spots for these Eagles. You can’t get mad about any of that if you’re a ‘Birds’ fan.
