. . Julian Blackmon. 11. player. 843.

If you live on the East Coast and didn’t want to stay up until 1:30 A.M. to see the conclusion to many of the games on the other side of the country, you probably missed a lot of what Julian Blackmon was doing with the Utah Utes.

In 2019, he registered 60 tackles, 1.5 sacks, four interceptions, and four pass breakups. He’ll need to prove that he’s a consistent tackler at the next level, but a strong NFL Combine could elevate him in the minds of a few scouts and help him climb on a few draft boards.

Reggie Floyd. 12. player. 847. . .

In 2019, Reggie Floyd tallied 69 tackles and eight pass breakups in his final run in Blacksburg, giving him 222 stops, 14 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, and five interceptions for his 39-game career. He’s also a slightly better tackler than Blackmon.

At the professional level, he’s probably got some potential to make a switch to linebacker (like Nathan Gerry did), but if that isn’t the plan, he’s potentially a strong safety candidate for a team looking to add one after Round 4 in 2020’s draft.

He may be last on this list, but he won’t be ignored by the NFL teams looking to add a safety prospect to their draft boards. Buckle up. The next couple of months are going to be fun and full of conversation.
