2. Do the Eagles take a corner at 21?

Maybe this time they’ll get it right. As most Eagles fans know, every offseason, it’s the same song and dance for this team.

We’re always talking about the wide receivers. We’re always talking about the cornerback position. There’s always this discussion about the revolving door at linebacker. Often, we talk about the running backs, but it’s normally because there’s no depth, no bell cow or sledgehammer, or it’s because Philly just can’t seem to find four or five guys who don’t all have the same skill set.

Unless there’s some sort of trade, the Eagles will pick 21st in the opening round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The needs are known. Heck, they’re the same doggone needs every year. Seemingly, nothing gets fixed. It feels as though nothing changes, so with that being said, Philly, a team that’s made catastrophically horrendous decisions in free agency and in the draft at the cornerback position, must take two more cover guys in April’s selection meeting.

The question is do they take one of them during the first round or do they wait for Round 2? If the latter is their decision, the expectation is they’ll take a wide receiver in Round 1. Then again, we’ve all said the same thing and been wrong before. That’s how they wound up with Derek Barnett in the first place.
