4 Philadelphia Eagles 2020 NFL Draft prospects from Oklahoma
As you’ve probably learned by now, the Eagles love versatility if they don’t love anything else. Guys that can play multiple positions and guys that they can cross-train really get the adrenaline pumping. Just look at how animated Doug Pederson and Jim Schwartz get whenever the subject comes up.
On the surface, it would seem as though making the switch from inside linebacker to one on the outside (or vice versa) isn’t that big of a deal, but it is a totally different mindset in playing both positions. In Kenneth Murray, any interested party gets a six-foot-two, 238-pound prospect that can play both roles or switch back and forth seamlessly.
In 2019, he contributed to the Sooners’ cause with 102 tackles and four sacks. If that translates to the pro game, fans of opposing teams beware.
He’s fast, physical and always finds an ability to get himself around the ball. The Eagles have paid very little attention to drafting surefire talent at the linebacker position. It’s just one of those things that they can’t get right. They may not even have a realistic shot at landing Murray.
He’s quite possibly the best linebacker of this year’s bunch, but because of that, the ‘Birds’ should do a little research here, especially if it’s possible that they decline the option on Nigel Bradham‘s current deal.
