There’s no reason to be in panic mode, but there are already several concerns about the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020.
A new NFL season means that there’s a lot to talk about. As Philadelphia Eagles fans or as fans of any other team, we’ll all be chewing on draft-related topics, free-agent acquisitions, and what every team may or may not do in every part of the process (and everything in between) for the next two months and beyond. Welcome to the life of a football fan or writer. Don’t look now guys and gals, but it seems as though the fireworks have already started.
Shortly after announcing the hiring of several new coaches, debate raged all over social media. Did Philly bring the right guys into the nest? What were they thinking with some of these hires? Questions are aplenty. Answers are scarce.
The 2020 staff is assembled, and fans and the media can’t even get on the same page about any of what’s happened. How in the world are any of us going to expect that they’ll reach some common ground on the process of how to handle free agency or the draft?
Fortunately, none of us have to make any of those decisions, but it does throw a huge weight on the shoulders of the Eagles’ brass. This is fun for the sports fan. It’s work for the leadership of each NFL team, but as excited as we all may be, we can’t deny that there are several reasons for trepidation.
