4 Michigan prospects who instantly upgrade Philadelphia Eagles roster
After being one of the top recruits in the country at the prep level, Donovan Peoples-Jones signed a letter of intent for Michigan, and ever since that happened, he never quite evolved into the guy the ‘Maize and Blue’ thought that they were getting when they welcomed him into Ann Arbor.
Physically, he’s just about everything that you want a receiver to be. He’s tall and solid. He stands at six-foot-two and weighs in at 208 pounds. He’s one of those guys that figures to run the 40 in about 4.5 seconds, and in 2019, he hauled in 34 passes to top out at the 438 yards receiving mark. He also found his way to the end zone six times.
Had the Wolverines not gone dormant so often with Shea Patterson at the helm, he may have done more damage.
Peoples-Jones has done enough to demonstrate that he has enough upside to succeed at the pro level, and as of right now, he figures to come off of draft boards towards the end of Day 2 of the draft or sometime early on Day 3. He may not be ‘the guy’, but he could be ‘the other guy’.
