3. Alshon Jeffery

If Alshon Jeffery didn’t suffer that devastating foot injury towards the end of last season, there’s a good chance the Eagles would look more into a possible trade involving the wideout over the next month or so.

But since Jeffery’s status for Week 1 in 2020 is still up in the air, Philadelphia will need to either roll the dice once again with their top wideout next season, or simply bite the bullet by accepting the lost money through a release.

Parting ways with Jeffery may not seem like the best financial decision in the world, but also the last thing the Eagles want is to see is miss out on someone else by having him take up one of their roster spots.

Most likely, Philadelphia will give it another go with Jeffery since his contract and injury situation makes this scenario a little more complicated for the Eagles to deal with compared to other current members of the team at the moment.

However, the uncertainty factor alone could make the Eagles realize they would be better off without Jeffery heading into 2020, and if this turns out to be the case, a release could be another surprise similar to Bradham.
