54. . . . Trevard Lindley, 4th Round. . player

105th-overall selection (2010)

The 2010 NFL offseason ended in a thud for the Eagles. An 11-5 regular-season campaign concluded with a shutout loss to the hated Dallas Cowboys which meant, as fate would have it, Philly would earn a Wild Card berth in the playoffs and travel to Cowboys Stadium to play Dallas for the second time in two weeks.

They lost that one by a score of 34-14 in a game that’s remembered primarily because of Donovan McNabb playing the ‘air guitar’ on the way to the playing field and the anger his silliness caused in a fan base that, then, had to watch the ‘Birds’ get embarrassed. It was also the last game that he played in midnight green.

Philly had 13 draft picks in the 2010 NFL Draft. Most of which led to nothing. Sure they landed Brandon Graham with the 13th-overall selection, but they also wound up with Riley CooperKeenan ClaytonDaniel Te’o-Nesheim, and Jeff Owens. There were definitely more misses than hits.

Trevard Lindley was taken in the fourth round. He signed a four-year contract on June 4th of 2010. He was waived and re-signed twice between 2011 and 2013 before being released for a final time on August 30th of 2013.

For his career, he tallied 23 total tackles, an interception, and a pass breakup in 11 games. He only started in one. You do the math. Just so you know, you won’t be able to find any calculation that makes you feel better. This move didn’t work out. Grade: D
