. player. 54. . . . Riley Cooper, 5th Round

159th-overall selection (2010)

Well, this list started with a bang, didn’t it? There’s almost no way to mention anything about Riley Cooper without bringing up what we’ll call a severe error in judgment and how he’s been viewed ever since.

Some were upset with him then and never got over it. Others have moved on. Others still can’t believe that Chip Kelly attempted to assassinate the character of DeSean Jackson and shipped him off but conversely held on to Cooper who was seen as having more character concerns.

Oh, and by the way, no evidence ever proved that Jackson was guilty of anything even close to the level of what Kelly accused him of.

Cooper remains one of the most disliked Eagles in history even though he caught passes from Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, and Vince Young, even though the Eagles fan base is one of the most forgiving, and even though he caught 169 passes and 18 touchdowns in an Eagles jersey. He retired from the game via a tweet from his account.

Bad play on the field wasn’t ever Cooper’s issue. Bad decision making and a lack of respect from his teammates were. Grade: D
