Here’s a more thorough look at Henry Ruggs.

Ruggs isn’t the physical specimen that Shenault is. Honestly, outside of Gabriel Davis of the Central Florida Knights and Tee Higgins of the Clemson Tigers, few of the incoming prospects are. Don’t let that turn you off though. Ruggs does have a nice sized frame and doesn’t mind being physical.

He’s six-foot-tall. He tips the scales at 190 pounds. If you need an NFL comparison, He’s an inch taller than Greg Ward, but they’re about the same size as both are listed as being 190 pounds.

He’s also a lot faster than everybody we just named, and that’s why no one has to do a ton of digging to find a few mock drafts that have already mentioned him as being a strong candidate to wind up in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’.

Ruggs was overshadowed slightly while with the Alabama Crimson Tide because of the presence of someone who’s being viewed as the best wide receiver in this class, Jerry Jeudy, but if you take Ruggs out of Tuscaloosa and put him on another roster, say one in the Big 12 for instance, he becomes the top receiver on that team’s depth chart. The only place where that’s debatable is on the SEC rival LSU Tigers roster, where some might grade Justin Jefferson a little higher.

Ruggs is a day-one starter in the NFL, especially if he winds up in Philly. He can play both the outside and slot positions. Here are ITI’s predictions for the 40-yard dash. Ruggs runs a 4.39. Shenault will get clocked at about 4.55 seconds.
