54. Linebacker. Minnesota. Kamal Martin. 2. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Could this finally end up being the offseason in which the Eagles fully address their need at the linebacker position?

As most fans know, Philadelphia always seems to be in search of help at the linebacker position each offseason, and their need just hit new levels now that Nigel Bradham is no longer part of the picture.

Most likely, the Eagles will look to address the need at the position early on come draft time, but if they do end up waiting until the final day of action, Kamal Martin could be a name worth monitoring, that is unless he goes earlier than expected.

Martin’s experience over the last four years at Minnesota makes it seem like he is well on his way to having a successful career in the NFL, and the linebacker’s explosive style of a play should result in an immediate impact right away as a rookie.

Of course, Martin alone isn’t going to solve Philadelphia’s need at linebacker, but at least a selection like this would be another positive step in the right direction.

Then again, if Martin ends up shining at the combine as expected, this could put even more pressure on the Eagles if other teams begin to rank him higher on their draft boards.
