Philadelphia Eagles: 5 sleepers worth following at 2020 NFL Combine
By Dan Parzych
After three years of putting up decent numbers between stints at Texas Tech and Colorado, Tony Brown saved his best stuff for his senior campaign in 2019 after catching 56 passes for 707 yards to go along with five touchdowns.
Once again, Brown isn’t going to single-handedly solve all the issues Philadelphia experienced at the wide receiver position if provided the opportunity, but adding him to the mix would certainly provide a boost to the receiving corps.
One of the best things about adding a player like Brown is the Eagles wouldn’t need him to be the top option in the passing game, especially if Jeffery or Jackson still happened to be part of the picture as a result of the Eagles giving them another chance in 2020.
If anything, Brown could be the one that benefits the most if he were to join the Eagles by potentially seeing additional passes thrown in his direction if defenders focused most of their attention on other receivers.
With Brown’s quickness and ability as a route runner, Brown certainly deserves the consideration from Philadelphia during the draft, and it will be even more exciting to see how the wideout looks in Indianapolis once the combine gets underway.
