Here are three studs at the running back position.

809. . . . Jonathan Taylor. . player

We all knew that Jonathan Taylor was a baller. We all knew that both he and D’Andre Swift were probably the two best running backs in this year’s draft class.

Following a blistering performance by Taylor in Indy, one where he ran the 40 in 4.39 seconds and showed a mastery of every drill that he participated in, don’t be surprised if there’s some talk about whether or not he’s the first running back that’s taken.

Cam Akers. . player. 804. . .

Cam Akers ran for 2,875 yards on 586 rushing attempts in 36 career games with the Florida State Seminoles. In Indy, he ran a very impressive 4.47-second 40-yard dash and shined in every workout. That’s not too shabby for a guy that tips the scales at 217 pounds.

D'Andre Swift. . player. 814. . .

This just in. That D’Andre Swift guy is pretty doggone good. His 40 time was sixth among the running backs, but whenever he did anything that allowed him to showcase his speed in the open field, the dude was a blur.

There’s honestly nothing to criticize about anything he did in drills. Do you have any idea how hard it is to say that about anybody? Oh, and by the way, tons of love has to be given to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, formerly of the LSU Tigers. He had one heck of a day as well
