Studs that will play along the defensive line

. Derrick Brown. . player. 842. .

We’ve been talking about Derrick Brown as being one of the best interior defensive linemen in the upcoming draft all season and ever since the curtain closed on the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

He did nothing to thwart that theory with his performance in Indy. He didn’t burn it up, but after earning an SEC Defensive Player of the Year nod, a First-team All-SEC nod, and a unanimous All-American nod after his 2019-2020 season with the Auburn Tigers, Brown’s will be a name that you hear often.

. Jabari Zuniga. . player. 840. .

Jabari Zuniga racked up 116 tackles and 18.5 sacks during 39 career games with the SEC’s Florida Gators. He was one of the guys that everyone knew would need a big weekend as he’s been left off of a few radars, and he didn’t disappoint.

He had the best broad jump of any defensive lineman (over 128 inches), and he turned in a solid 33-inch vertical. There aren’t that many elite pass rushers in this class who play with their hand in the dirt, so when the dust clears, we may look back and state that Zuniga did himself a solid during his workout in the combine.

player. 815. . . . Neville Gallimore.

It almost seems comical to bring up anyone from the Big 12 that plays on defense, but make no mistake, Neville Gallimore is as gifted as they come along the defensive front as it relates to this draft class.

He tipped the scales at 304 pounds at his weigh-in, but he posted a nice 40 time for a man his size (4.79). All of that girth caused him to lose his balance a couple of times, but that shouldn’t cause him to fall on any draft boards.
