1. Rashaan Melvin

To say Rashaan Melvin has bounced around to numerous teams over the years would be a huge understatement, but also this doesn’t mean that Philadelphia should ignore the possibility of the veteran cornerback joining the defense for the 2020 season.

If anything, Melvin’s experience from the previous four seasons in which he’s proven to be a reliable starter at times for the Lions along with the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts shows what he could bring to the table.

Due to injuries to players like Ronald Darby along with young cornerbacks in Sidney Jones and Avonte Maddox still needing to develop, bringing on an experienced veteran could help the Eagles deal with a few issues at the position from last season.

Melvin certainly isn’t going to solve all the issues experienced by Philadelphia, but this could be one of those underrated moves at a favorable price that could work out great for both parties.

At this stage of his career, a player like Melvin is running out of time to win that first career Super Bowl, and with the Eagles expected to be one of the early favorites in the NFC, if the cornerback were looking to join a serious contender, this could be a great fit.
