10 candidates for Eagles at No. 21 in 2020 NFL Draft following combine
By Dan Parzych
Philadelphia may not want to hear this, but it’s getting a little frustrating to always see linebacker be a position in need of improvement each offseason, and this will be the case once again entering the draft.
While the Eagles will most likely look to free agency to fill the need as well, this year’s draft class is filled with plenty of great linebackers to consider once again, some of which could go on opening night during the first round.
Thanks to an impressive outing at the combine that consisted of an amazing 40-yard dash time (4.50 seconds), Patrick Queen seems to have caught the attention of a few teams will to consider using their first-round pick at the linebacker position, one of which could be the Eagles.
Queen was just one of many effective contributors on the defensive side of the football who played a key role in helping LSU win the National Championship back in January, and it seems like only a matter of time before he’s making a similar impact at the NFL level.
From his ability to help stop the run to impressive motor skills, chances are the combine was just the start of Queen’s stock continuing to rise over the next couple of weeks, and will most likely force Philadelphia to strongly consider this selection opening night of the draft.
