10 candidates for Eagles at No. 21 in 2020 NFL Draft following combine
By Dan Parzych
If linebacker does end up being an option for the Eagles at No. 21, Oklahoma‘s Kenneth Murray is another name worth keeping an eye on after looking at the impact made over the years with the Sooners.
To say Murray was one of the big winners from the combine would be a huge understatement, although he could have done without the minor leg injury while running the 40-yard dash.
Before the combine, Murray was already receiving high praise for his leadership skills, and while he was originally projected to go in the second round, the young linebacker could very well hear his name called on Day 1.
As previously mentioned, linebacker always seems to be one of the positions Philadelphia is looking to improve on each offseason, and while there is no guarantee that Murray will solve all their issues, at least this would be another positive step in the right direction.
For the most part, the Eagles’ defense is expected to be one of the top units in 2020 once again, but the last thing they can afford is to see linebacker continue to be an area of weakness, and hold them back.
With Murray’s athletic ability, Philadelphia would be in much better shape at the position for the long run if his time at Oklahoma is any indication of what to expect.
