Scouting Report. LSU. Grant Delpit. player. 54. Pick Analysis. Safety. 6

Before anyone criticizes the idea of so many LSU members being discussed on this list, keep in mind this shows how great of a football team they put together this past season.

While linebacker will be one of the top priorities surrounding the Eagles in the draft, safety is another position worth monitoring as well when looking at all of the uncertainty at the moment.

Not only is Rodney McLeod expected to test the free agency market, but with Malcolm Jenkins making it clear early on in the offseason how unhappy he is with his current contract situation, no one really knows what to expect from Philadelphia at safety leading up free agency.

Even if one or both players happen to return for the Eagles, the team would still benefit from adding another safety in the draft, whether it happens to be right away in the first round or later on.

If Philadelphia does decide that first round is their best option, Grant Delpit could benefit from playing alongside a veteran like Jenkins to help shape up the young safety into the kind of defender the Eagles need him to be.

Delpit certainly needs to improve in some areas such as tackling in order to be successful in the NFL, but hopefully these things can be worked on once the transition becomes official.
