Cornerback. C.J. Henderson. 4. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Florida. player. 54

One way or another, the Eagles are going to add a cornerback at some point in the draft, and there’s even a good chance of this position being taken care of right away at No. 21, because the need is that bad.

Between Ronald Darby dealing with injuries once again along with some of the younger cornerbacks in Sidney Jones and Avonte Maddox still being works in progress, Philadelphia can’t afford another season of inconsistent play at the position.

C.J. Henderson out of Florida was already considered first-round talent from this year’s draft class as one of the top cornerbacks, and his performance at the combine helped make the case even stronger to show how much can improve a team’s defense.

The technique Henderson possesses makes it seem like he would be a great addition for Jim Schwartz‘s defense, and after all of the inconsistent play at this position last season, maybe landing the Gators star is exactly what the Eagles need.

Plenty of great cornerbacks will be selected in the first round of this year’s draft once April arrives, and if fear begins to set in over Philadelphia missing out on a talented cornerback, Henderson at No. 21 could be a solid option.
