6 can’t-miss safety prospects for Philadelphia Eagles in 2020 NFL Draft
If we’re being honest, most of you wouldn’t know where Lenoir-Rhyne was unless you cheated and used a search engine, but keep an eye on Kyle Dugger. He’s a six-foot-one, 217-pound standout from Decatur, Georgia that has just about every college scout wondering why they didn’t recruit him a little harder when he was in high school.
After a few years at the collegiate level, Dugger won’t be able to hide from the 32 teams in the NFL with much success. In Lance Zierlein’s draft profile on Dugger, he compares the man no longer a dark horse to Gerald Sensabaugh. In his final season with Lenoir-Rhyne’s Bears (they’re in North Carolina by the way), Dugger opened the season with a 30-yard pick-six versus St. Augustine’s (they’re in Raleigh), and the fireworks just kept on coming.
Dugger went on to contribute 31 tackles, another interception, and four pass breakups to the Bears cause in 2019. He was invited to Indianapolis, and he didn’t disappoint with a 4.49-second 40-yard dash, 17 reps on the bench press, a 42-inch vertical, and a 134-inch broad jump.
If he isn’t on your draft boards as a definite second-round target, you need to erase everybody else’s name and start over. If he lands in Philly, they’ve got their guys for the next ten years. Period. We’ll have to see if they show any interest in the next two months.
