Though their serious investments into the linebacker position have been infrequent, the Philadelphia Eagles have several options in the 2020 NFL Draft.

While we’re all tossing around the banter about why the Philadelphia Eagles can’t draft cornerbacks and wide receivers to save their lives, how about we add their disinterest in investing in capable linebackers to our lists of concerns about our favorite team as 2020’s version of the NFL Draft approaches?

Sure, they’ve nailed it from time to time. Jordan Hicks would have been good had he not been fragile. Seriously, the guy could hurt himself getting out of a swimming pool (literally). Then, there was Nigel Bradham. He did everything the ‘Birds’ asked of him in his brief time here. Nathan Gerry looks to be destined for a long and prosperous career as well. Everyone seems to be satisfied with him from the ownership and the coaching staff on down to the fans and the members of the media.

Too often, however, there just seems to be this revolving door at the second level, and it seems like it’s been there since Andy Reid paced the sidelines.

Fear not Eagles fans. 2020’s selection meeting has enough good stock to keep you interested and fill a few holes. The theory is Philadelphia will address other needs early, but with a potential ten picks, it’s also safe to assume they’ll take a linebacker in the middle rounds. That rules out guys like Isaiah Simmons and Kenneth Murray, but there’s value in the guys who will follow their selections.

Here are ten of the other linebackers who will be available at the end of April who could upgrade the Eagles corps in a flash (in no particular order).
