836. . . . Darnay Holmes, UCLA. 6. player

Former Pac-12 standout Darnay Holmes cut his teeth under former Eagles head coach Chip Kelly‘s command with the UCLA Bruins before impressing at the most recent combine with a nice 40-yard dash time of 4.48 seconds. He’s created a buzz for himself by doing so.

He was absent from the first two games of the 2019 college football season but shined the rest of the way, posting 33 tackles to go along with a couple of picks and six pass breakups. He earned an invite to the Senior Bowl even though he decided to forego his final year of eligibility to pursue the greener pastures of the NFL. The future appears to be bright for Mr. Holmes.

J.R. Reed. 5. player. 814. . .

J.R. Reed is cut nicely if we’re talking about his physical frame. He stands at six-foot-one and weighs 202 pounds. He put his body to good use in Indy as he put up 15 reps on the bench press and scored marks of 34 inches and 130 inches in the high jump and broad jump respectively before conquering the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds.

He racked up 54 tackles and a pick during his final season ‘between the hedges’, and if a football fan was to take an educated guess, they could say he might wind up coming off of draft boards sometime between the midway point of Day 2 or early on Day 3. We’ll see if that’s an accurate guess soon enough.
