2. Jenkins sets the tone in Minneapolis.

You can argue among yourselves about this one, but believe it or not, there’s a decent enough portion of the Eagles fan base that exists that allows us to say this.

Even though Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were on the other sideline and even though it was still the first half, some Eagles fans will tell you that they knew Philly would beat New England in Super Bowl 52 when Jenkins laid out Brandin Cooks with 13 minutes to play in the second quarter.

Thank goodness that they were right. Philadelphia’s all-star safety didn’t just set a tone with his knockout shot, he was the vocal leader for the defense all night long. Every ‘Birds’ fan has probably watched every single one of what seems like 30 different NFL Films documentaries that had one of Philly’s captains on the defense mic’d up.

If you have, you can attest to the fact that they never get old. Take a moment, and look at this one. This comes courtesy of the NFL’s official YouTube channel. It’s a little lengthy, but it’s well worth the effort to watch.

If you haven’t figured it out for yourselves already, here’s a newsflash. The Eagles are saying goodbye to one of their team leaders.
