Here are a few final thoughts

No one’s saying that Jim Schwartz is the “puppet master” or that he’s the reason that Jenkins is gone. It’s just strange that Philly’s decided to keep Mcleod and place Mills at safety when everyone knows that it would be better to have Jenkins back there. It’s a strange coincidence that Schwartz loves Mills and McLeod. Strangely, this comes at about the same time that Philly’s proven they didn’t value ’27’ enough to give him $8 million per season.

It’s also strange that Philly couldn’t find the pocket change for a man who’s an unquestioned leader and never comes off of the field, but they could extend a defensive tackle who’s currently injured (Hassan Ridgeway) and give $13 million to another (Hargrave). Strangely, someone as articulate as Malcolm Jenkins remembered to thank Jeffrey Lurie but he forgot to thank Schwartz, Pederson, and Roseman in his farewell.

Must Read. Eagles add Darius Slay: 2 Positives, 2 negatives. light

Maybe there’s nothing to it. Maybe there is, but here’s what we can see. Darius Slay is here, and we’re glad he is, but he played for Schwartz in 2013 for the Detroit Lions. It was Schwartz that drafted him. Marquand Manuel, Philly’s new defensive backs coach, played for Schwartz in 2009 with those same Lions. Coincidence? It probably isn’t. It seems Schwartz is tied to a lot more than we think, but hey. He’s smart. Who’s to say that it’s a bad thing if he is? The debate table is open.
