Rightfully so, Philadelphia’s offense led by Carson Wentz tends to be the popular topic of discussion surrounding the team, but there’s no way the Eagles finish on top of the NFC East last season if it weren’t for the defense stepping up.

Wentz certainly deserves a ton of credit for basically relying on practice squad members on offense during the final stretch after seeing all of the major injuries to key players, but the defense should be right up there with them.

Once again, Philadelphia’s defense will play a major role in whether or not the team has what it takes to earn a fourth trip in a row to the playoffs.

And while the current roster is in great shape leading up to the draft, there’s always room for additional help to the defensive line.

That’s where Larrell Murchison from NC State could come into play after the defensive tackle ended his time with the Wolfpack on a high note by recording seven sacks to go along with 12 tackles for loss as a senior.

Over the years, Murchison has received plenty of high praise for his ability to help stop the run, and get to opposing quarterbacks, meaning if the Eagles are looking for some great depth to the line on the final day of the draft, this could be a perfect selection.
