K.J. Hamler and 5 wide receiver targets for Eagles in second round of draft
By Dan Parzych
Over the course of the last few months, there has been plenty of talk surrounding Laviska Shenault Jr. and whether the Colorado receiver would be a perfect fit in an offense like the Eagles.
Of course, just because there has been discussion doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to happen since Philadelphia will most likely consider all of their best option, but at least it’s still fun to take into consideration.
Production wise, Shenault took a bit of a step back in 2019 after catching just 56 passes for 764 yards, and four touchdowns in 11 games, but all football fans need to do is look at his numbers from the previous year to see why he could be the perfect Day 2 receiver.
During the 2018 season, Shenault hauled in 86 passes for 1,011 yards with six touchdowns in just nine games, showing why so many teams have been interested in the thought of the wideout bringing his skill set on board.
Shenault has the kind of size and footwork that shows he’s ready to take the next step in the NFL, as this could be another rookie who manages to make an impact right away.
In the long run, a pick like Shenault could put Philadelphia in better shape with their receiving corps for years to come.
