1. Let’s visit some rather recent history.

Carson Wentz has been vocal about the fact that he’s proud of Nick Foles for winning Super Bowl 52. He’s also mentioned the fact that the two are friends and remain close. He’s also honestly mentioned that he was a little heartbroken because he wasn’t on the field with his teammates when they were playing for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Now. every day since that victory, he has to walk past a statue of the “Philly Special”, a statue that immortalizes Doug Pederson and Nick Foles. There was also that shrine of some sort that several Eagles teammates created in Saint Nick’s old locker to honor their departed comrade.

Add that to the fact that there were also more powerful and maybe more respected voices in the locker room like Jenkins, and that added fuel to the fire. This team’s locker room was never going to ever completely belong to Carson Wentz as long as they were dedicated to “9” or as long as Jenkins was a part of this team. Think about it. Who broke down the huddles?
