. . K.J. Hamler (3rd round, pick 103). 103. player. 806.

The first of Philadelphia’s three compensatory picks finds us all talking about the third round of 2020’s selection meeting at the 103rd-overall selection. Sure, to some, K.J. Hamler is a second-round guy, but that’s actually arguable.

If we’re talking about Jeudy, Lamb, Ruggs, Jefferson, and maybe Tee Higgins in Round 1, could it be argued that we’re also talking about Mims, Chase Claypool, Jalen Reagor, Brandon Aiyuk, and Gabriel Davis in Round 2?

Can we definitively state that Hamler is decidedly better than any of those guys? Keep in mind the fact that we haven’t even brought up Laviska Shenault. He’s a former first-round prospect that figures to fall because no one’s sure of where he is from a medical standpoint.

For that reason, the belief is Hamler, a guy that’s seen as being too small by some, should fall to the bottom of Round 2 or somewhere around the midpoint of Round 3. If he does, Philly’s got a big decision to make.
