. K.J. Osborn (4th round pick 146). 146. player. 834. .

The Eagles’ third and final compensatory pick lands just one spot after their second, and that brings us to a school that we don’t talk about much anymore. Football fans who are a little older remember the glory days of “The U”.

Think of those Miami Hurricanes teams as you would the Alabama Crimson Tide of the present. Then, mix in a lot of that “Fab 5” attitude, and you’re about in the ballpark of what older college football fans witnessed. Those Miami teams were more popular than the Dolphins.

Sure, the “Touchdown Rings” and the “Turnover Chain” are cool, but there isn’t a ‘Canes fan that wouldn’t trade any of that for the rapid pace with which “The U” churned out NFL talent years ago. That doesn’t mean they don’t get great talent now, and K.J. Osborn is a throwback to the glory days. He’s six-foot-tall and tips the scales at 206 pounds.

He racked up 50 catches for 547 yards and five touchdowns after transferring from Buffalo and being given one more year of eligibility after four seasons that saw him snag 96 passes for 1,490 yards and 12 scores.
