Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver-only 7-round NFL mock draft
Jonathan Cyprien wasn’t here long, but his trade to the Atlanta Falcons may prove to be useful. Philly got a six-round selection out of that deal, one this mock will use to take Dezmon Patmon of the Washington State Cougars.
Sure, these days, most football fans are worried by the idea of paying any attention to a wide receiver from the Pac-12 Conference, but if there’s any scenario where the Eagles are fishing for a receiver late and Patmon is available in the sixth round, this is one of those moves that could wind up with Eagles fans using terms like “steal”. Patmon could bring dignity back to Pac-12 receivers in the NFL.
You’ve heard this was a deep wide receiver class. Here’s the evidence. It isn’t often that six-foot-four, 225-pound prospects that can run the 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds are seen as having Day 3 potential.
In 36 career games, Patmon hauled in 156 receptions for 1,976 yards and 13 touchdowns.
