Philadelphia Eagles: Ranking NFL Draft’s top 10 ILBs after Kenneth Murray

Jordyn Brooks may be the best linebacker that no one is discussing. Now, there could be a few reasons for that.

One, no one plays any defense in the Big 12. Second, the Texas Tech Red Raiders don’t get the same level of attention or the same amount of television time that we typically dedicate to the Oklahoma Sooners or Texas Longhorns. Third, there are questions about whether he’s an inside or an outside linebacker, and at times, he struggles to fight through blocks.

Here’s something that you can’t hang your hat on though. Brooks is the best inside linebacker in this draft class not named Kenneth Murray. Go look at any of his 360 total tackles, his 6.5 sacks, or his two interceptions if you need any evidence.

If Philly winds up with this guy, they’ve probably found their starter for the next four seasons. You can argue that he’s already better than most of what the Eagles have on the current roster.
