3. Wallace’s starting experience on top defense in Clemson
Watching the Tigers emerge as a consistent playoff contender over the years has been truly incredible to witness, and while Wallace may not have earned as much recognition as some of his former teammates, he still deserves plenty of credit.
Clemson’s offense rightfully earned most of the recognition over the previous two seasons thanks to Trevor Lawrence making a case for being one of the top quarterbacks in the country, but the defense came up just as big on numerous occasions.
As previously mentioned, there is no guarantee that Wallace will go on to have a successful career in the NFL since he still has plenty to prove, but the experience from over the years playing for a top defense in Clemson could give him a slight advantage over other rookie safeties.
If Wallace was able to handle the pressure of playing for a top Tigers’ defense in one of the best conferences in college football, the transition to the NFL should be smoother compared to other players at his position.
Wallace’s journey to Clemson was always fascinating after struggling to earn interest from college teams at first, but at least it all paid off since he will now be joining another top defense in the NFL with the Eagles.
