3. Jeffery’s 2020 status still uncertain

When it comes to the most popular topics of discussion surrounding the Eagles over the last few months, what the future holds for Jeffery at wideout ranks near the top of the list.

First off, no matter what happens with Jeffery, Philadelphia will always have a special place in their hearts for the veteran wideout for the work put in helping the team bring home their first Super Bowl title a few years ago.

But also, the NFL is a business, and at the end of the day, if the Eagles as a team would be better off without Jeffery, a potential trade or release would seem fair, even at a hefty price.

Over the years, Jeffery’s injuries have been a major concern for Philadelphia, and the tough situation about this offseason is a foot injury that occurred last season has the wideout’s 2020 status uncertain at the moment.

The Eagles would love nothing more than to see Jeffery healthy enough to suit up for September, but even if this turns out to be the case, there is no telling what kind of impact he will be ready to make.

Goodwin’s level of impact is nowhere near the same level as Jeffery’s in the passing game, but at least his presence will be some experienced insurance just in case Philadelphia needs it.
