3. Bob Quinn, Detroit Lions

After the announcement that the 2020 NFL Draft would be held remotely, technology was always going to be the biggest asset (and threat) to its success. To make sure his draft would run smoothly, Detroit Lions GM Bob Quinn made sure to take the necessary precautions.

Though his in-home war room looked much like other general managers and coaches, Quinn went a step further to protect his chances of getting the players that he wanted. Anticipating technical difficulties, Quinn asked Lions I.T. director Steve Lancaster to join Quinn at his house.

To maintain social distancing guidelines, Quinn has Lancaster parked in a Winnebago RV (Quinnebago anyone??) sitting in the general manager’s driveway. There’s something to be said about putting practicality and reliability over glitz and glam.

Fortunately for Quinn and the Lions, the Quinnebago ensured total success in making their pick with the third overall selection, taking Ohio State Buckeyes cornerback Jeffrey Okudah.
