Philadelphia Eagles: 5 teams that should trade for J.J. Arcega-Whiteside
By Dan Parzych
5. New England Patriots
Ever since the New England Patriots decided to move on from Tom Brady, one of the most popular topics of conversation leading up to the draft was how the team was expected to bring a new quarterback on board.
In fact, the Patriots were considered strong candidates to consider a quarterback in the first round of the draft with all of the talent expected to be available, yet the team didn’t focus on the position at all, and focused on other positions instead.
To top it off, New England didn’t even use one of their 10 picks on the wide receiver position, which makes them seem like the perfect candidate to consider someone already flirting with the bust label in Arcega-Whiteside.
Players like Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu should make life easier for Jarrett Stidham under center, but a team like the Patriots could still use some additional depth at the position just to be safe.
New England is already expected to be facing heavy pressure to remain a top contender in the AFC for 2020 now that Brady is no longer around, and if they could help turn things around for Arcega-Whiteside, it could arguably put them in better position.
