4. Prince Amukamara

In order to free up some salary cap space, the Chicago Bears made the difficult decision this offseason to move on from Prince Amukamara after three years.

Back in 2011, expectations were rightfully high for Amukamara entering the NFL after the Giants decided to use a first-round pick on the former Nebraska star.

There have been times over the years in which Amukamara has found ways to stand out on the defensive side of the football, but the fact that he will be entering his 10th NFL season in 2020 without a single Pro Bowl to date shows he hasn’t exactly lived up to the hype.

Of course, this factor alone doesn’t necessarily mean the Eagles should avoid any consideration for Amukamara if he can bring plenty to the table at the cornerback position.

As previous mentioned, Philadelphia is currently sit with Slay as their top cornerback, but the race for the No. 2 job alongside the Pro Bowler is still up in the air between a few early candidates such as Sidney Jones and Avonte Maddox.

For all the Eagles know, Amukamara could end up being the better option than the current group of cornerbacks competing for the job since he does have starting experience, and could feel extra motivated to prove some of his doubters wrong.
