Here’s the verdict.

Based on the combined 2019 records of their 2020 regular-season opponents, only seven teams have an easier schedule than Philadelphia, but we all know that has nothing to do with anything. One look at the roster tells us that Philadelphia can battle their way into playoff contention late or they can be eliminated from postseason contention early.

You can make the argument that the three games that earned Philly the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the 2017-2018 season weren’t even this tough. Sure, the Eagles beat the greatest dynasty in NFL history, but they beat a less-than-stellar Atlanta Falcons team and a Vikings team that was led by Case Keenum to get to that game. It’s too early to tell, but let’s hope this gauntlet season hardens these Eagles and spearheads another nice postseason run.
