1. Boston Scott

Last season was filled with numerous surprises from players who stepped up on offense when the Eagles needed it the most due to injuries, and right near the top of the list was Boston Scott after seeing what the running back accomplished down the stretch.

While it was certainly great to see Sanders elevate his game to new levels when Jordan Howard was dealing with a mysterious shoulder injury during the final months of regular season action, the argument can be made that Philadelphia made out better with Scott anyway.

For a running back looking to make a name for himself when the opportunity became available, Scott came up big on numerous occasions to help the Eagles finish on top of the NFC East, and even displayed a three-touchdown performance one game against the New York Giants.

Clearly, Philadelphia would love nothing more than to see Scott continue this impressive play entering the 2020 season with a larger role on offense as the No. 2 running back behind Sanders, but once again this is a situation that could change if Hyde entered the picture.

As great as it would be to see Scott hang on to the No. 2 job if Hyde were to enter the picture, the veteran’s experience alone could give him the upper hand if the two were to battle for the spot.

Then again, with Scott already knowing what it takes to be an underdog, he would have a few advantages of his own over Hyde, meaning this would be a fun position battle to keep an eye on entering training camp.
