2. Za’Darius Smith

When taking into consideration that Za’Darius Smith is coming off a career season in which he finished with 13.5 sacks along with earning Pro Bowl honors for the first time, the chances of the Packers trading the star defender is extremely unlikely.

However, it should also be noted that Smith signed a hefty four-year, $66 million deal with Green Bay prior to the start of last season, meaning if the Packers wanted to clear up some salary cap space, a trade could always be a possibility, whether it happens to be a long shot or not.

Based off his numbers from 2019, it’s sort of amazing to think how last season marked the first time in Smith’s career that he started every single game, and one can only imagine what the effective pass rusher is going to do for an encore in 2020.

Philadelphia has been fortunate enough to see plenty of elite pass rushers over the years for Jim Schwartz to work with on the defensive side of the football, but the Eagles will never complain over adding one more to the mix.

Once again, the chances of the Packers willing to trade Smith is a long shot for obvious reasons, but maybe with the right offer that consisted of a high draft pick along with the saving money factor, there would be hope for the Eagles.
