Believe it or not, Mr. Ostman is entering his third season as a professional after Philly brought him in as an undrafted free agent. That decision was made shortly after seven rounds of that year’s NFL Draft went by without his name being called.
As a collegiate star, he racked up 220 total tackles and 26 sacks. He’s second all-time in the program’s history in that second category.
During the 2019 preseason, Ostman, who had been having a great camp, was carted off of the field during a Sunday night open practice thanks to a torn ACL that would end his season. Get ready for act three.
He isn’t a lock to make the roster by any means, but if he returns with the same hustle and the same focus that we saw almost twelve months ago, he’ll be a guy that fans are cheering for, whenever they’re allowed to return of course. Grade: undetermined
