Pencil “19” in for about 50 catches and five touchdowns.

Admittedly, this one is a guess. Perhaps Roseman is right. Expecting a major leap from “19” in Year 2 isn’t a foregone conclusion, but it isn’t out of the realm of the possibility either. After all, he set the bar pretty low for himself (ten catches, 169 yards receiving, and one touchdown). The only way things could get any worse is for Philly to designate him as a healthy scratch for all 16 regular-season games.

“Birds” fans won’t have to worry about that though. Good things could be on the horizon for the second of two second-round selections that Philly made in 2019’s selection meeting. You already know who the first was. Right now, a safe bet is to pencil Arcega-Whiteside in for about three snags per game.

The Eagles have added Marty Mornhinweg and Rich Scangarello as senior offensive consultants. Those two and Doug Pederson will draw up some creative ways to get the ball into JJ’s hands.

His size should come into play. The Eagles will probably use the six-footer’s 225-pound frame in goal-line situations to provide a big target for Carson Wentz. Picture him in the lineup with Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert, and possibly a healthy Alshon Jeffery lined up in red-zone situations. That should help efficiency. When all is said and done, three catches a game will give him 48 receptions on the season. Let’s make the target around 400 yards receiving and five touchdowns.

It doesn’t seem like too big of a stretch if you can get the memories of that drop that could have pulled the Eagles out of the fire versus the Detroit Lions out of your mind. Gosh that was ugly.
