Might Week 15 be a “trap game” for the Philadelphia Eagles?
Sure, Kliff Kingsbury’s got a nice setup at his domicile, but for him to continue the lifestyle he’s now become accustomed to, the Arizona Cardinals are going to have to start winning some games. No one’s going to care that the head coach looks like a model and has the dream bachelor pad if they don’t.
So far, he’s been given exactly what he’s asked for. The Cards shipped Josh Rosen off after one season and brought in the guy Kingsbury wanted to run his offense, Kyler Murray, a former MLB prospect and the winner of the Heisman Trophy in 2018.
Following his rookie season in 2019, Murray took home All-Rookie Team honors from the Pro Football Writers of America and the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award after he tossed 20 touchdowns and ran for four more.
During the most recent offseason, Arizona added a top-five wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins to go along with the future Hall of Fame inductee Larry Fitzgerald, fellow wide receiver Christian Kirk, and a do-it-all running back in Kenyan Drake. This is a game the Eagles should win. Still, fans should expect fireworks, and seeing as how this one goes down between a Week 14 date with the New Orleans Saints and a Week 16 tilt with the Dallas Cowboys, the “trap game” stories might be part of the discussion as we near this one.
