2. Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz likes versatility, and that’s on display with Wallace’s tape.

In all honesty, discussing the coverage skills and physicality that Wallace displayed as a senior doesn’t do him justice. Times like this are when you need visual evidence, and regardless of who the producer is, any highlight reel featuring Mr. Wallace is a must-watch for die-hard football fans.

One word comes to mind, and that word is versatility. Don’t look now ladies and gents, but Eagles defensive coordinator has a lot of pieces for his scheme now, and that fact that Wallace can play the slot role in a “Big Nickel” scheme coupled with the fact that he can play deep or in the box is a skill set that ensures he’ll be on the field both early and often for the “Birds” in 2020.

Once upon a time, though it’s difficult to remember when it started or who said this, there were tales that Wallace’s speed might be an issue. There was some concern that his draft stock might take a hit, but he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds, so what is everyone talking about?
